Här kan du skicka in en eller så många låtar som din Patreon-nivå tillåter under en 30-dagars period. Låtar som jag sedan går igenom och lyssnar på för att överväga till ett inlägg i bloggen. Gillar jag det du skickat in görs ett inlägg om låten. Om låten inte passade får du ett svar som förklarar varför.
Tänk på att bloggen skriver om popmusik i första hand. Med andra ord: skicka in musik i popgenren så som kommersiella radiolåtar, synthpop, indiepop, EDM, folkpop, soulpop etc. Jag är inte ett fan av tyngre rock, hiphop / rap eller låtar som har för lite fokus på melodier eller för mycket fokus på autotune.
För att hjälpa dig träffa trätt, så tänkte jag lista några artister som jag personligen älskar: Carly Rae Jepsen, Taylor Swift, Troye Sivan, Justin Bieber, Pet Shop Boys, Kent, Darin, Veronica Magggio, Laleh och Molly Sandén. Jag har gjort en spellista med 10 låtar som jag kallar för Being Johan, som sammanfattar mig och min musiksmak väldigt bra. Känner du att du inte passar in i beskrivningen ovan eller inte känner igen namnen, så är Popmuzik troligen inte plattformen du ska skicka din musik till.
Då bloggen i första hand skriver om nya låtar bör du hålla dig till låtar som ska släppas eller låtar som du precis har släppt. Jag sätter en gräns på 60 dagar efter release. Efter det är låten för gammal och du kan fokusera på nästa släpp istället.
När du skickat in får du oftast ett svar inom 48 timmar (är inskicket på fredag eller under helgen går jag oftast igenom låten efter helgen).
Du är Patreon så länge du själv vill och har behov av det. Du kan när som helst avsluta ditt medlemskap, då löper det fram till nästa bytdatum. Ska du tillexempel bara släppa en låt, är det helt okej att avsluta ditt medlemskap direkt efter att du skickat in låten. Efter det har du tillgång till Patreon-sidan tills perioden är slut.
Slutligen. Att skicka in en låt som Patreon betyder automatiskt inte att jag kommer att skriva om den. Det betyder att jag kommer lyssna igenom och överväga låten för bloggen, samt att du får ett svar om det blir ett inlägg eller ej.
Att vara Patreon betyder i första hand att du stöttar bloggen och dess arbete.

Here you can submit one or as many songs your Patreon level allows in a 30-day period. I will then go through and listen to the songs to consider them for a blog post. If I like what you submitted, I will do a blog post about the song. If the song didn’t fit, you’ll get a reply explaining why.
Keep in mind that the blog writes about pop music in the first place. In other words: submit music in the pop genre such as commercial radio songs, synth pop, indie pop, EDM, folk pop, soul pop, etc. I’m not a big fan of heavier rock, hip hop / rap or songs that have too little focus on melodies or too much focus on autotune.

As the blog primarily writes about new songs, you should stick to songs that are about to be released or songs that you have just released. I set a limit of 60 days after release. After that, the song is too old and you can focus on the next release instead.
When you submit, you usually get a response within 48 hours (if the submission is on a Friday or during the weekend, I usually go through the song after the weekend).
You are Patron as long as you want and need. You can cancel your membership at any time, then it runs until the next change date. If, for example, if you only are going to release one song, it is perfectly fine to cancel your membership immediately after you submit the song. After that, you will have access to the Patreon page until the period ends.
Finally. Submitting a song as a Patreon doesn’t automatically mean I’ll write about it. This means that I will listen through and consider the song for the blog, and that you will get an answer if it will be a blog post or not.
Being a Patreon means primarily that you support the blog and the work I put into it.
