Paul Hammer är mannen bakom gruppen Savoir Adore som har sitt säte i Brooklyn. Bandet har bland annat nyligen släppt singeln Slow motion och innan det några EPs igenom åren.
Nu har de släppt den drömliknande och somriga singeln When the summer ends, som Paul skrivit tillsammans med bandets sångerska Lauren Zettler. Detta är faktiskt första låt de skriver tillsammans. Annars brukar det vara Paul som ligger bakom det mesta.
Paul berättar:
“Every summer is a special one, and there’s nothing quite like the haze of nostalgia…all of the emotions and energy connected to the passing of time, and how we grow with it. ‘Do you think the moon would fall into the sea if it pulled on the world as hard as your love’s pulled on me?’ That lyric sums up the song for us – a love with the weight and magic of the moon, but the impermanence of a season. Taking something that started care-free and asking it to be more. In many ways, that’s the feeling of summer… we wish it could last forever.”
