Den brittiska sångerskan Kelli-Leigh följer här upp singeln Cotton clouds som släpptes i Februari med Just for one day. En upplyftande R&B-poplåt som känns som klippt och skuren i våra spellistor. Låten är skriven av sångerskan tillsamman smed producenten Hoost.
Kelli-Leigh berättar om arbetet med låten för bloggen:
“I told him that I wanted to write something that explains how sometimes you just need to take some time out, reset yourself to build your energy, and not speak to anyone. Little did I know when it came to the release, the world would also be self isolating. Now when I watch the video back, it feels slightly post-apocalyptic.
I was feeling overwhelmed and low from a run of sessions, and felt that I had been neglecting my own artist creativity and focus. The morning of the session I had gone to the completely wrong studio in the wrong part of London and made myself 2 hours late. I’m a bit of a workaholic and sometimes I tend to go too far, so ultimately I could’ve quit and gone home, but I ended up writing this song in an easy flow, a stream of consciousness which just came to me and explained how I was feeling.”
