Den franska trion Las Aves släppte precis sitt andra album I’ll Never Give Up On Love Until I Can Put A Name On It och med det följde de upp albumet Die In Shanghai från 2016. I samband med releasen av albumet släppte de även videon till låten Worth it. Dansant och vemodig pop med skön produktion som växer till en stark refräng.
Sångerskan Géraldine Baux i gruppen berättar:
”It’s an important song for me, it’s what I would’ve liked to hear in my teenage years. I have suffered from eating disorders for a very long time, and that is still more or less the case. I felt very lonely; I was a victim of my body that didn’t fit the “norm:”. I felt like I could never do anything in my life until I could control it. It’s a disease, a potentially devastating one, and what’s serious is that this illness is provoked and/or reinforced by the society we live in, by the constant pressure on women’s bodies. This song is about freeing yourself from it, and taking your power back.”
Videon är regisserad av Jules Cassignol och inspelad i New York, som även den bygger på att acceptera sin kropp så som den är.
