Den Sydney-baserade sångaren Timi Temple mixar det elektroniska med lite psykedelia. Påminner lite om Tama Impala och MGMT i stil om man ska dra paralleller.
Efter att officiellt varit aktiv som artist i ett år släppte han två-spårssingeln One Year Birthday: Two-Side som innehåller låtarna Monster in the mirror och Coming home. Lite som en present till fansen som följt honom under hans första år. Själv fastnade jag för just låten Coming home, som med snygga harmonier och melodi verkligen kan falla många i smaken.
Här berättar Timi Temple lite om låten.
”Coming Home is a jovial song of mine, it’s about traveling the world to find where the grass is greener… only to be pulled home by the comfort of family and friends. It’s my take on a rather used theme but lyrically inspired by drawing parallels to nature. My favourite lyrics inside is ”is the insect, happy when he gets there, the light that drew him in his glare, then zaps him dead?”
A humorous note, I got my full family to sing on the chorus of this track, including my 3 sisters, Father and Girlfriend. None of which are musicians, haha.”
